If this tutorial was helpful, i'd like to encourage the use of the social media buttons below. I would really appreciate it!

Let's start with the Tutorial.

Option 1:
Press the Windows key to open the start menu or, on Windows 8.1, click the start menu button in desktop mode.

Q: What do you call a bunch of blondes standing ear to ear?

A: A wind tunnel!
Move your mouse to the right edge of the screen until the Charm Menu appears (vertical bar menu) and click on the Search Button.

Just type Notepad and once the app appears right click and choose Run As Administrator.

This is your charm menu (vertical bar menu)
Option 2:
While in desktop mode press Windows key + Q and the search bar of Windows will appear on your right side.

Type Notepad, once it appears, right-click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

Option 3:
Follow the steps in Option 2 but instead of clicking Run As Administrator press Open File Location. Once you are in the directory of notepad, right click on the shortcut and click on properties. Press the advanced button and tick the option Run As Administrator.

Now every time you run Notepad it will automatically run as an administrator.

A guy walks into a bar and says to the barman, "Give me six double vodkas."

The barman says, "Wow, you must have had one hell of a day."

"Yeah, I just found out my oldest son is gay."

The next day, the same guy comes into the bar and asks for six more double vodkas. When the bartender asks what's wrong, the man says, "I just found out that my youngest son is gay, too!"

On the third day, the guy comes into the bar and orders another six double vodkas. The bartender says, "Jesus! Doesn't anybody in your family like women?"

The man downs the first drink and shakes his head, "Yeah, my wife!"
That was it. Now you've got three different ways to run notepad. Use the one that feels most comfortable to you.
